Hello! Welcome to our family travel blog. After much suggestion from many of our family and friends, and years of traveling we have decided to start a travel blog. We’ve been traveling our whole lives, and started traveling with our oldest child when he was only 6 days old making an 13 hour road trip. After 7 years of traveling with small children we decided it was time to share our adventures with the world. Hopefully, y’all can help us out on our journeys as well with your tips and tricks. Let us take a moment to introduce ourselves.
We are a family of 4 who love to travel so much that we recently made the decision to homeschool our 7 year old child in order to travel more.
Ramon
Ramon is the primary planner and type A logistics officer of our travel endeavors. He intricately plans out our family’s movements like pieces on a chess board. He ensures that we always a have a way to move our family efficiently and sometimes not so efficiently across the globe. He is constantly researching family friendly locations and stalking deals to maximize our travel dollar. Ramon is also the most experienced traveler of our family having been traveling since he was an infant and having been to 62 countries. By the age of 27 he had set foot on all seven continents. He is the family photographer and thus tends to be missing from most of the pics. When he is not traveling he is not off on an adventure he is a full-time Neonatologist. He also recently achieved his dream of competing on American Ninja Warrior as the NICU Ninja.
Kendall
Kendall is the type B chaos coordinator. Kendall goes with the flow and manages our single most important resource, the children. She is the packing queen, keeping the clothes down to the essentials, yet also making sure the kids have appropriate clothes and don’t look like ragamuffins. She manages the inevitable meltdowns and makes sure our children aren’t only eating Oreos as their primary form of sustenance. She is also the lynch pin of the entire operation, in that she homeschools our oldest so we can go on these crazy adventures. Kendall caught the travel bug when she married Ramon and has racked up 32 countries and 4 continents since they married 11 years ago. Broadway musicals, music, and cuddling up with a good book are all hobbies that Kendall loves.
Zack
Zack is our 7 year old energizer bunny. His energy knows no bounds and is second only to his unbridled enthusiasm for everything! The only person who can even come close to his amount of energy is Ramon. He is an extrovert to the extreme and has never met a stranger. He is very adaptable and the best big brother to his little sister. Zack joins our family through the gift of adoption. Despite his young age, he has been to 26 countries and 3 continents. He loves soccer, video games, and tennis when not jet setting.
Lucy
Lucy is our threenager! Yes, its definitely a thing. She is sassy, spunky, and sweet all wrapped up into an adorable little package. She is an extrovert, but not as extreme as her brother. She can get absolutely cranky if not fed, watered, and rested regularly. Lucy was adopted into our family in 2015.She has 13 countries and 3 continents under her belt. When she is not traveling she loves taking dance and music classes, dressing like her favorite Disney princesses, and belting out her rendition of “Let it Go!”
We are starting this as a place to share our travels and adventures. We will be visiting Las Vegas and the surrounding national parks, Maine, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Azores, Caribbean, England, France, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, and Disney World over the next 5 months. We also regularly visit places throughout the United States as this is our base of operations.
We hope to provide you with tips, tricks, guides, mistakes (as there are many), stories (both good and bad), flashback posts of previous trips, and some live blogging along the way. We are very excited for everything this new adventure has to offer! We hope you’ll follow along with us!
We have posted a wide variety of articles that we hope you enjoy, and we have many more to come that are in the final draft. Please do not hesitate to give us suggestions for future articles. We want to write things you want to read about! So let us know in the comments! Thanks for stopping by!
